Same old around here...

Nothing new to report around here, that's why I haven't posted anything in a while.  We did get over 12" of snow in 2 1/2 days with wind gusts of 20-30mph, but even snow is old news to us these days.

Hmm, I got something…Veta was playing with a box of tacks today and didn't pick them all up.  I stepped on one and it went in the bottom of my foot until the head of the tack was flush with my skin.  I almost had to yell "earmuffs" while I screamed and then had to pull it out.  Then Veta asked,  "what happened daddy?"  …I wonder. 

I knew the day was coming...

Ever since the snow started falling I've been slipping and sliding, but I have not fallen…until today.  Funny thing was I had a close call yesterday, but I was able to save myself.  On the way to school this morning I was walking to the bus stop with my hands in my pockets and BAM, I was down so quick I didn't even have a chance to break the fall.  There I was laying on the street.  There must have been 25-30 people standing there.  Guess how many came over to see if I was ok... ZERO.  Ok, guess how many let out a gasp or some kind of concern for my wellbeing….ZERO.  Guess how many flinched…You guessed it!  Man, my knee is killing me.

A Snowy Morning in Moscow
